Artist’s Note
When I think of Attention, I am reminded of something Sam Harris once said — "How we pay attention to the present moment largely determines the character of our experience and, therefore, the quality of our lives [...] Our minds—and lives—are largely shaped by how we use them." The things that hold my attention give meaning to my life, and so I create. I allow my attention to unfold in the making of an image, a reflection of myself and how I am oriented in the world at that moment. This process gives pause, and in Attention, so I become.
